Why It Is the Wood Pick
If the stand is on show, wood looks less like gaming gear. The SAMDI is a single piece of walnut in an Omega shape, with nothing to assemble and a smooth curved rest for the headband. At $28.99 on 6 October 2026 it had 1,424 ratings and a 4.7-star average.
SAMDI gives clear fit limits: headbands within 5.7 in (14.5 cm) wide and headphones within 10.23 in (26 cm) tall.
Build and Fit
Being one piece, there are no joints to loosen. The curved top is meant to protect the headband padding from scratches.
A cheaper walnut-and-aluminum alternative is Avantree’s TR902 (see the roundup); for a plain metal stand, the Avantree HS102 costs about $12 less.
Limitations and Compromises
SAMDI does not publish the weight or base size. The 5.7 in headband limit may be tight for some wide gaming headsets. It has no cable holder or tray.
Setup and Care
Dust with a dry cloth; keep it away from standing water as with any wood furniture.
Who Should Buy It?
