Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

SoftPickr (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website softpickr.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Information you give us — your name, email address and message when you use our contact form or email us, and your name, email and comment text if you leave a comment.
• Information collected automatically — your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

How we use information

• To operate, secure and improve the website
• To reply to messages you send us
• To understand which pages are useful, using aggregated traffic statistics
• To show advertising, including advertising from Google, as described below
• To filter spam comments and protect the site from abuse

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use essential cookies that the site needs to work, analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site, and advertising cookies used by Google and its partners. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads on this website. Google is a third-party vendor, and it uses cookies to serve ads on our site.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, through a consent message shown on the site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate — for example, how many people visit a page and which country they come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and does not give us your name or email address. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links

Some links on SoftPickr are affiliate links, mainly to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, SoftPickr earns from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set its own cookies to record that the visit came from us. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer and covered by its privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Comments and spam protection

If you leave a comment, the comment text, name, email address and IP address are stored. Comments may be checked by the Akismet anti-spam service. Your email address is never published.

How long we keep information

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Comments are kept until they are removed. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form according to Google Analytics retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email contact@softpickr.com.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
