The best headphone stand for most desks is the Avantree HS102: a solid steel stand with a silicone pad where the headband rests and a silicone cable holder at the base that also props up your phone, for under $20 with more than 8,000 owner ratings. But the right pick depends on your desk more than your headphones. A clamp or an under-desk hook frees up the desktop entirely, a dual stand handles two headsets, and a gaming setup may want USB ports or wireless charging built in. We compared eight options, from a $6.99 aluminum stand with 33,000+ ratings to a $69.99 Razer stand with a USB hub and a 7.1 DAC.
SoftPickr reviews are research-based. We did not use these stands ourselves. Every material, size, fit limit and feature below comes from the live Amazon listing, and the ratings are the Amazon owner averages on the day we checked (6 October 2026). Where a brand does not publish a figure, such as a weight limit or a base size, we say so rather than guess.
This guide is part of our home office series. A headset hanging off the desk is one small piece of a tidy, comfortable workspace; the rest is in our budget ergonomic desk setup hub, and if you are clearing desk space generally, our under desk laptop mount and monitor stand with drawer roundups pair well with a clamp-on or under-desk hanger.

1. Avantree HS102 — Best Overall
Specs: solid steel construction · silicone top pad · silicone cable holder at the base (also holds a phone) · for headsets about 4 cm wide at the headband and up to 25 cm tall · grey · $16.99 (list $19.99) · 4.6 stars from 8,070 ratings.
The HS102 is the stand we would put on most desks. Steel gives it weight where a light aluminum stand can tip, the silicone pad means the headband rests on something soft, and the cable holder at the bottom keeps a wired headset’s cord from trailing across the desk. Avantree adds that the same holder can prop up a phone in several positions, which turns a single-purpose stand into a small desk organizer.
Avantree names Sennheiser, Sony, Audio-Technica, Bose, Beats and AKG among compatible brands, with a fit guide of about 4 cm at the headband and 25 cm tall. It does not publish its own height, base size or weight, the one gap in an otherwise clear listing.
Best for: one headset on an ordinary desk, where a steady base and a tidy cable matter.
Skip if: you need to hang two headsets (the HS908 below costs the same) or want nothing on the desk at all.

2. New Bee — Best Budget
Specs: aluminum with TPU rubber · about 8.85 in tall, 3.7 x 3.7 in base · fits headphones of all sizes per New Bee (named: Sennheiser HD650/HD700, Sony MDR7506, AKG K612, HyperX Cloud II, Astro A50, ATH-M50) · black · $6.99 (list $8.99) · 4.6 stars from 33,708 ratings.
No stand we found had more owner ratings than the New Bee, and it was also the cheapest at $6.99. It is the familiar shape: an aluminum upright with a curved, rubber-lined rest on a small square base. At 3.7 in on each side, it takes up about as much room as a coffee mug.
The trade-off is the base. New Bee itself tells buyers to make sure the desk is flat and dust free, which is a polite way of saying the base is light and grips by friction. On a steady desk that is fine; on a desk that gets bumped, a heavier steel stand or a clamp is more forgiving. There is no cable holder, tray or charging, and none is expected at this price.
Best for: a first stand, a tight budget or a small desk.
Skip if: your desk wobbles or you want a cable holder; the Avantree HS102 adds both for about $10 more.

3. EURPMASK Clamp-On — Best Clamp-On
Specs: spring clamp for desks 0.31–1.57 in thick, no glue or screws · 360° swivel arm · cable clip · curved edges and rubber pads on the hook and clamp ends · black · $8.52 (list $11.99) · 4.7 stars from 29,298 ratings.
If your desk is crowded, the best place for a headset is off the surface entirely. The EURPMASK clips to the desk edge, and its arm swivels a full 360 degrees, so the headset can sit beside you while you work or swing under the desk when you don’t need it. A cable clip holds a wired headset’s cord, and rubber pads protect both the headband and the desk, which EURPMASK says covers glass, wood and metal tops.
It had the highest average rating in our group, 4.7 stars from more than 29,000 ratings, at $8.52. The one thing to check is the desk edge: the clamp takes 0.31 to 1.57 in, so a thick butcher-block top, or a desk with a frame or drawer right under the edge, may not fit. EURPMASK does not publish a weight limit.
Best for: small desks, gaming setups and renters who can’t drill or use adhesive.
Skip if: your desktop is thicker than 1.57 in; the Elevation Lab Anchor sticks to the underside instead.

4. Avantree Neetto HS908 — Best for Two Headsets
Specs: solid metal base, contoured two-sided hanger · holds two or more headphones (per Avantree) · storage tray for cables, pens, notes and a phone · ABS, aluminum and metal · 6.69 x 4.33 x 10.63 in, 550 g (listing table); 9.8 in standing height (bullet) · tool-free push-fit assembly · $16.99 (list $19.99) · 4.7 stars from 4,465 ratings.
Plenty of desks have two headsets on them: a work headset with a microphone and a pair of music or gaming headphones. The HS908 is the simplest answer we found. Its hanger is shaped to take one headset on each side, and the base doubles as a tray, so cables, a pen or a phone have a place too.
At $16.99 on 6 October 2026, it cost exactly the same as Avantree’s single HS102. The cost is footprint: at 6.69 x 4.33 in, the tray takes more desk than a single stand. Avantree does not publish a weight limit, so hang the heavier headset first and balance the other side.
Best for: two headsets, shared desks, or anyone who wants a tray next to the stand.
Skip if: you own one headset and want the smallest footprint.

5. Elevation Lab Anchor — Best Under-Desk Mount
Specs: adhesive hook for the underside of a desk · thick silicone with steel inner reinforcement · European-made 3M adhesive, hold guaranteed by Elevation Lab · holds two sets of headphones · clean, finished surfaces only · black · $11.24 (list $14.99) · 4.6 stars from 9,185 ratings.
The Anchor hides headphones under the desk edge, where they are out of sight but one reach away. Elevation Lab says it holds two sets, has a steel core inside thick silicone, and backs its 3M adhesive with a guarantee. With 9,185 ratings, it is the most established branded adhesive hook we found.
Read one line on the listing before you order: Elevation Lab says it will not hold to unfinished wood or fibrous surfaces. The underside of many particleboard desks is raw, so look under yours first. Adhesive is also semi-permanent, which matters if you rent the desk or move often.
Best for: a clean desktop with a finished underside, and anyone who wants the headset hidden.
Skip if: your desk’s underside is raw particleboard; the EURPMASK clamp needs no adhesive.

6. SAMDI Walnut — Best Wood
Specs: one-piece walnut, Omega shape · no assembly · curved headband rest · fits headbands up to 5.7 in (14.5 cm) wide and headphones up to 10.23 in (26 cm) tall · $28.99 (list $33.59) · 4.7 stars from 1,424 ratings.
If the stand will be on show in a living room or a home office, walnut looks less like gaming gear than aluminum or RGB plastic. The SAMDI is a single piece of wood with nothing to assemble, and its top is curved so the headband padding rests on a smooth surface.
SAMDI is unusually clear about fit, publishing both a headband width (5.7 in) and a height (10.23 in) limit. Some wide gaming headsets may be tight at 5.7 in, so measure across the headband if yours is large. It does not publish its weight or base size, and at $28.99 it costs more than the metal stands that hold a headset just as well.
Best for: home offices where looks matter, hi-fi and studio headphones, and gifts.
Skip if: you want a tray, cable holder or charging; or if price matters more than material.

7. Razer Base Station V2 Chroma — Best Premium for Gaming
Specs: aluminum construction · Chroma RGB lighting (16.8 million colors) · two USB 3.1 charging ports · 3.5 mm audio combo jack with a built-in 7.1 surround DAC · high-friction rubber base, detachable for transport · 120 mm (4.72 in) base, 278 mm (10.94 in) tall, 460 g · $69.99 · 4.7 stars from 2,933 ratings.
The Razer is a stand that is also a small desk hub. Plug it into your PC and you get two USB 3.1 ports and a headphone jack with a built-in 7.1 surround DAC right where the headset hangs, plus Razer’s Chroma RGB lighting to match a Razer setup. At 278 mm it was also the tallest stand we compared, which Razer says suits larger headsets.
The question is whether you need those extras. At $69.99 it costs four to ten times more than the other picks, and the USB hub, DAC and lighting only work when it is connected to a computer. If you just want somewhere to hang a headset, a $7–$17 stand does that equally well.
Best for: PC gamers who want a USB hub and headphone jack within reach and RGB to match.
Skip if: your headset is not used at a PC, or you only need a stand.

8. KAFRI RGB with Wireless Charger — Best with Wireless Charging
Specs: Qi wireless charging pad in the base: up to 10 W (Samsung), 7.5 W (iPhone), 5 W for other Qi phones · QC 2.0/3.0 adapter needed for the faster rates · 9 RGB lighting modes with a touch switch · fire-resistant hardened plastic shell · in the box: stand and 5 ft USB cord · $19.99 · 4.4 stars from 3,237 ratings.
The KAFRI is a headphone stand with a phone charger in the base: lay a Qi phone on it and it charges. KAFRI lists up to 10 W for supported Samsung phones and 7.5 W for iPhones, with 5 W for any other Qi phone, plus nine RGB lighting modes on a touch switch. It lists overload, short-circuit and over-current protection.
Two caveats. The faster charging rates need a QC 2.0/3.0 wall adapter, and the listing says the box holds only the stand and a USB cord, so plan on using an adapter you already own. And it is plastic, with the lowest average in our group (4.4 stars), so it is the pick for the feature rather than the build. KAFRI also notes that metal attachments or cards in a phone case block charging.
Best for: a phone that always sits next to the headset, and budget RGB setups.
Skip if: you want metal or wood, or a USB hub instead of charging.

Also worth a look
These listings were checked on 6 October 2026 but did not make the main list, usually because a pick above covers the same need:
- Lamicall desktop stand — $12.79, aluminum and ABS, 4.8 stars from 8,222 ratings; the listing names AirPods Max among compatible headphones.
- Avantree TR902 — $25.49, wood and aluminum with a large wooden cable holder, 4.8 stars from 1,492 ratings; a wood option that keeps the HS102’s phone rest.
- Tilted Nation RGB stand — $39.99, two USB 2.0 ports plus a mouse bungee, 4.7 stars from 4,643 ratings; a cheaper gaming hub than the Razer.
- TotalMount monitor hook — $12.99, mounts the headset to the side of your monitor, 4.6 stars from 3,161 ratings (“only 3 left” on the day we checked).
The Trade-Off None of Them Escapes
Every option here trades desk space against convenience. A desk stand is the easiest to reach and to move, but it takes a few square inches of desk and can be knocked over. A clamp or an under-desk hook takes no desk space at all, but it depends on your desk: the clamp needs the right edge thickness, the adhesive hook needs a finished surface, and both put the headset slightly further from hand. Decide which cost your desk can live with, and the choice gets easy.
How to Choose a Headphone Stand
Desk stand, clamp or under-desk hook?
Start with the desk, not the headphones. If you have a few inches of free space, a headphone stand like the Avantree HS102 or New Bee is the simplest choice. If the desktop is full, a clamp (EURPMASK) or an adhesive hook (Elevation Lab Anchor) moves the headset to the edge or the underside. Clamps need an edge between 0.31 and 1.57 in thick on the EURPMASK; adhesive hooks need a clean, finished surface.
Fit: headband width and height
Most stands fit most over-ear headphones, but the brands that publish limits are worth reading. Avantree gives about 4 cm at the headband and 25 cm tall for the HS102; SAMDI gives 5.7 in wide and 10.23 in tall. Very large gaming headsets or big planar-magnetic headphones are the ones that run into limits; a taller stand like the 278 mm Razer leaves more room.
Stability and base weight
A light stand on a smooth desk can slide or tip when you grab the headset one-handed. Steel (Avantree HS102), a metal base with a tray (HS908) or a high-friction rubber base (Razer) help. Few brands publish a weight limit, so if your headset is heavy, prefer a wider, heavier base or a clamp.
Headband protection
Look for a curved rest with a soft surface: silicone (Avantree HS102, Elevation Lab Anchor), TPU rubber (New Bee), rubber pads (EURPMASK) or smooth curved wood (SAMDI). A wide, rounded rest spreads the weight of the headset over more of the headband pad.
Extras: trays, USB ports and charging
Extras are worth paying for only if you use them. A tray (HS908) or a cable holder (HS102) helps keep a desk tidy. USB ports and a headphone jack (Razer) are useful if the stand sits beside a PC. Wireless charging (KAFRI) suits a phone that always lives next to the headset, as long as you have a suitable wall adapter.
Which Headphone Stand Should You Buy?
- One headset, ordinary desk: Avantree HS102.
- Lowest price: New Bee.
- No room on the desk: EURPMASK clamp, or the Elevation Lab Anchor if your desk is too thick for a clamp and has a finished underside.
- Two headsets: Avantree Neetto HS908.
- Looks first: SAMDI walnut.
- PC gaming with a USB hub: Razer Base Station V2 Chroma.
- Charge your phone too: KAFRI RGB.

Headphone Stand FAQs
Are headphone stands worth it?
For most people, yes, at these prices. A headphone stand keeps the headset off the desk where it can be knocked, sat on or tangled, keeps the cable tidy and makes the headset easy to grab. The cheapest picks here cost under $10.
Do I need a headphone stand, or is a hook better?
It depends on your desk. A headphone stand is easier to reach and to move; a clamp-on or adhesive hook saves desk space. On a crowded desk, a hook such as the EURPMASK or Elevation Lab Anchor usually wins.
Are headphone stands bad for headphones?
A stand with a narrow, hard top can press on one spot of the headband pad over time. Choosing a curved rest with a soft surface (silicone, rubber or smooth wood, as on the picks here) spreads the weight.
How tall is a headphone stand?
Among the stands that publish a height: New Bee about 8.85 in, Avantree HS908 9.8 in, Razer Base Station V2 278 mm (10.94 in). Taller stands suit larger headsets; SAMDI lists headphones up to 10.23 in tall.
What is the best headphone stand for AirPods Max?
Any stand with a soft, wide rest works. The Lamicall listing names AirPods Max among compatible headphones. If you want charging too, note that the KAFRI’s Qi pad charges a phone, not the headphones.
What is the best stand for multiple headphones?
The Avantree Neetto HS908 holds two or more on one base, and the Elevation Lab Anchor holds two sets under the desk.
Will a clamp-on stand fit my desk?
Measure the desk edge. The EURPMASK fits desktops from 0.31 to 1.57 in thick, and needs clear space under the edge for the clamp.
Final Verdict
For most desks, the best headphone stand is the Avantree HS102: steel, a soft rest and a cable holder for under $20. On a budget, the New Bee does the basic job for $6.99. If your desk is already full, clamp the EURPMASK to the edge or stick the Elevation Lab Anchor underneath. Pay more only for something you will use: a second headset (HS908), walnut (SAMDI), a USB hub (Razer) or wireless charging (KAFRI).
How We Compared These Stands
This comparison is research-based. We searched Amazon for desk stands, dual stands, clamp-on and under-desk hooks, and stands with USB ports or wireless charging, shortlisted listings with a real brand and at least 50 owner ratings, and opened every product page on 6 October 2026 to read the title, bullets, detail tables, price, rating and availability. Materials, sizes, fit limits and features are quoted from those listings; where a figure was not published, we say so. Scores weigh stability, headband protection, build quality, fit range, extras, footprint, value and owner ratings against the other picks. Prices and ratings change often.
