VIVO Clamp-On Rotating Laptop Tray MOUNT-LAP1CB — 12 x 9 In, Swings Under the Desk, 11 lb

VIVO MOUNT-LAP1CB Review (2026)

The VIVO MOUNT-LAP1CB scores 8.0/10 and is our pick if you want to use the laptop, not just hide it: a 12.3 x 8.8 inch tray on a single C-clamp that sits below desk height for typing and rotates 360 degrees to swing under the desk when you are done.

This review is research-based: every specification below comes from the live Amazon listing, and the verdict weighs those specifications against the other picks in our best under desk laptop mount comparison.

Key Specifications

Why We Picked It

Every other product here is about storage: the laptop goes under the desk and stays there, usually closed. The VIVO MOUNT-LAP1CB is for people who want to work on the laptop at a lower height, then get it out of the way. The tray clamps to the desk edge and sits 3.5 to 4.5 inches below the desktop, which VIVO says gives a more ergonomic typing angle. When you are done, it rotates under the desk.

360-Degree Rotation

The single clamp lets the tray pivot a full 360 degrees. That flexibility has two costs VIVO states plainly: the tray needs 31 inches of clearance to swing through its full circle, and it does not lock in place, by design. If you knock it, it moves. For a laptop you use every day and want out of the way between sessions, that is a fair trade.

Clamp and Fit

The C-clamp fits desks up to 2 inches thick and does not need any holes. It will not work on lipped or beveled edges. The tray takes laptops up to 17 inches, as long as the depth is no more than 11.5 inches, and holds up to 11 lb. VIVO backs it with a 3-year warranty.

Limitations and Compromises

It is the most expensive pick here at the time of writing, it does not lock, and it needs a lot of swing room. It is also not hidden the way a bracket mount is: when stored, it is a tray under the desk edge rather than a flat holder against the desktop.

Who Should Buy It?

• You want to type on the laptop at a lower height
• You want it out of the way between work sessions without unplugging
• You cannot or will not drill
• You have 31 inches of clear space for the swing

Look elsewhere if you only want to store a closed laptop (the IFCASE or VIVO MOUNT-UDLS1), want a pull-out shelf (the JINGCHENGMEI), or want the lowest price (the BYMECOST basic).

SoftPickr Verdict
