This review is research-based: every specification below comes from the live Amazon listing, checked on 4 October 2026, and the verdict weighs those specifications against the other picks in our best astronaut galaxy projector comparison. We did not use these projectors ourselves; where YXQUA does not publish a figure, we say so.

Small Enough for a Desk, a Car or a Shelf
At 3.2 x 2.95 x 4.95 inches and under 6 ounces, the YXQUA is the smallest astronaut here, about the size of a palm. YXQUA suggests the car, a desk or a playroom, and its size makes it the easiest to move from room to room.
It still has 8 nebula modes with green stars, and the remote is more detailed than most: it sets the nebula’s color, brightness and flow speed and, separately, the stars’ mode, brightness and breathing speed, or turns the stars off.
The Cheapest Way to Test the Idea
At $14.98 for the white version on 4 October 2026 (black was $15.98), it is the cheapest branded astronaut we would recommend. If you are not sure the person will use a star projector, this is the low-risk way to find out.
Limitations and Compromises
The listing does not mention a sleep timer, so plan to switch it off with the remote or the button. The figure is small, so it looks more like a desk toy than a statement piece. Its 4.3-star average from 2,002 ratings is the lowest among the astronaut picks.
Setup and Care
Plug it into a USB power source, set it on a nightstand and turn the magnetic head toward the ceiling. Keep the lens free of dust with a dry, soft cloth.
Who Should Buy It?
- Stocking stuffers and small-budget gifts
- Desks, dorm shelves and car interiors
- A first projector to see if the idea sticks
Skip it if you need a sleep timer; the SFOUR has one for about $5 more. See every pick side by side in our astronaut galaxy projector roundup.
