A Night Light That Works Without the Galaxy
Most astronaut projectors only make sense in the dark. The Cayclay adds a second light: the moon the astronaut holds is a night light with 7 colors. That matters for a young child who wants a soft glow all night but does not need a moving nebula on the ceiling at 3 a.m.
The remote handles mode, brightness and speed, and the timer turns the projector off after 1 or 2 hours.
Magnetic, 360-Degree Head
Cayclay’s listing says the head is magnetic and adjusts through 360 degrees, so the nebula can go on the ceiling, a wall, or even a car roof. The package lists the projector, a power cable, the remote and a manual.
Limitations and Compromises
The remote needs 2 AAA batteries, and the listing does not say they are included. Cayclay does not publish how many nebula effects it has, so we can’t compare it number for number with the 8-effect models. On 4 October the black version cost $29.99; the white and pink versions were listed higher.
Setup and Care
Run the power cable to a USB plug, fit 2 AAA batteries in the remote, then turn the head toward the ceiling. Keep the lens free of dust with a dry, soft cloth.
