Black+Decker Dustbuster Review — Is AdvancedClean Still the Default Handheld?
The dustbuster is one of a small number of products whose brand name became the generic term for the thing itself, and that happened for a reason: Black+Decker essentially invented the cordless handheld vacuum in 1979 and has never really left the top of the category. The AdvancedClean model is the current mainstream version, and with more than 111,000 ratings behind a 4.4-star average it is one of the most extensively reviewed cleaning products in existence. The category default for good reasons — cyclonic separation, a well-judged tool set and a charging dock that keeps it in use — with the honest limitation that a handheld vacuum is a spot-cleaning tool and nothing more.
