TOFU Laser Christmas Projector Lights — 5 Christmas Patterns, UL Listed, IP65, Remote and Timer

TOFU laser Christmas projector Review (2026)

The TOFU laser projector scores 8.5/10 and is our pick for real Christmas patterns: snowflakes, jingle bells, trees, Santa and a starry sky in red and green laser, with a UL listing, IP65 housing, an RF remote with a timer and up to 3,900 sq ft of coverage for $39.99.

This review is research-based: every specification below comes from the live Amazon listing, and the verdict weighs those specifications against the other picks in our best Christmas light projector for outdoors comparison.

Key Specifications

Pictures, Not Just Dots

Most laser projectors throw thousands of points. The TOFU adds five Christmas designs on top: Snowflake, Jingle Bell, Christmas Tree, Santa Claus and Starry Sky. With three display modes and two flashing modes, TOFU counts 24 combinations. It is the laser pick for people who want the house to say “Christmas” from the road, not just sparkle.

The Safety Paperwork Is There

The listing says the unit is UL listed and IP65, with an aluminum alloy body for heat dissipation and an overheating system that shuts it off automatically. The rated range is -4°F to 104°F. For something that sits in a wet lawn for six weeks, those are the details worth paying for, and most cheaper lights don’t publish them.

Remote and Timer

An RF remote works up to 40 ft away, so you can change patterns from indoors. The timer runs 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours and then stays off for the rest of the 24-hour cycle (22, 20, 18 or 16 hours), which means you set it once at dusk and it repeats each night.

Coverage and Mounting

TOFU quotes up to 33 ft of throw and up to 3,900 sq ft of coverage. There are three ways to install it: the ground stake, the flat base, or a wall or post mount (screws are not included). The head adjusts through 300°.

Limitations and Compromises

Colors are red and green only. Five patterns is fewer than the Star Shower’s nine or the DXstring’s twelve. The cord length is not published, so measure the distance to your outdoor outlet and have an outdoor-rated extension cord ready.

Setup and Maintenance

Push the stake into the lawn 20–33 ft from the wall, plug it in, point the head, and use the remote to choose the pattern, mode and timer. Mount it on a post if snow will bury a lawn stake.

Who Should Buy It?

• You want recognizable Christmas pictures in laser
• You care about UL listing and IP65 weatherproofing
• You want a built-in timer that repeats every night
• You want a large house front covered: up to 3,900 sq ft

Look elsewhere if you want more patterns for less (the DXstring), white snowfall (the PEIDUO), or blue in the mix (the LEDMall).

SoftPickr Verdict

The TOFU scores 8.5/10. It is the laser projector with the most useful safety and weather details and real Christmas patterns, and it is our pick if you want pictures rather than dots. Prices on Amazon move; the figure in this review was $39.99 at the time of writing and the live listing is the only accurate source.
