A Scale That Stays Out of the Way
Greater Goods keeps this one simple: a quick tare, a timer that counts up for brewing or down for steeping, and a dual-color LCD that keeps weight and time apart so you are not squinting at one line of digits mid-pour. The 5.25 in square platform takes a Chemex or a V60 with a server, and the silicone cover is dishwasher-safe.
Batteries and Support
It runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are included. That is less convenient than USB-C, but there is no internal battery to wear out. Greater Goods backs it with 5 years of coverage and a St. Louis-based support team, the longest stated coverage of any scale in our roundup.
Limitations and Compromises
There is no flow-rate readout and no automatic timer start; you press the timer yourself. The listing bullets do not state the maximum capacity. The 5.25 in platform is too big for most espresso drip trays.
Who Should Buy It?
- You brew drip, Chemex or V60 and want something simple
- You prefer replaceable AAA batteries
- You value a long warranty
Look elsewhere if you want an automatic timer or flow rate (the TIMEMORE or RENPHO) or a scale for a small drip tray (the Maestri House S2).
SoftPickr Verdict
The Greater Goods scores 8.5/10 and is our pick for best for everyday drip and pour-over. Prices on Amazon move; the figure in this review was $23.99 on 7 October 2026 and the live listing is the only accurate source.
