Why It Makes the List
Most puck screens are plain discs; FLUR's Happy Pucks are decorated screens sold as a set of three, which makes them the easy gift for someone who already owns the basics. FLUR is also one of the first brands Google shows for "espresso puck screen", so plenty of buyers will see these first. Function is the same as any 1.7 mm screen: the listing says they promote an even extraction by improving water distribution and stop coffee being drawn back into the machine.
Three Screens, One Size
Three screens mean you can pull back-to-back shots without rinsing between them. They are all one size, though — this listing is 53.5 mm for Breville, and the 51 mm and 58.5 mm versions are separate choices. The listing's bullets are short, so material (316 stainless steel) and thickness (1.7 mm) come from the title; there is no warranty or care guidance beyond "place on top of your coffee grounds".
Limitations and Compromises
The listing gives very little detail beyond size, thickness and steel grade. At 1.7 mm, the same headspace note applies as with NOTSEK and CREMA. Amazon shows the brand field as "Generic" on the listing, although it is sold and shipped by Flur Glassware.
Who Should Buy It?
- Gift buyers shopping for someone with a Breville
- Anyone who pulls several shots in a row
- People who want a screen with some personality
Skip it if you want one well-documented screen (the Normcore) or a thinner screen for a full basket.
SoftPickr Verdict
The FLUR Happy Pucks 3-Pack scores 8.1/10 as the best design and gift pick in our espresso puck screen roundup. Prices on Amazon move; the figure in this review was $19.00 on 9 October 2026 and the live listing is the only accurate source. Before you order any puck screen, check your portafilter basket size: Breville machines use 54 mm baskets (53.3–53.5 mm screens), most De’Longhi machines 51 mm, and the Gaggia Classic Pro and other commercial-style machines 58 mm.
